Reapers are meant to be shepherds for souls traveling to the other side. They are to be exactly what a person needs when they face death.
Pax isn’t like that.
Pax is a reaper not at all satisfied with his life. He has gone about his duties as anyone in his position would. But Pax feels like a mistake, a misfit, that he doesn’t fit in.
Then one day he receives orders from above: a mandatory vacation, living as a regular human in the mortal world, so he may gain a new outlook on his job and those he reaps. But when he happens to save a strange woman’s life, Pax gets pulled into a centuries-old conspiracy, one that will decide what it means to live and to die.
Reaper is an English-language prose written in the tradition of the Japanese light novel. It is written by Ivan Navi, edited by Yosuke Imagawa and Derek McGrath, and illustrated by Kiyoichi. Reaper is a lighter take on the myths of the grim reaper told in a short-novel adventure.

My first attempt to write a book. Is it perfect no but I am happy that I got it out.
I'm happy overall with it, and I am glad it's a thing.

Characters
Pax: The Grim Reaper of those burdened with mistakes in death and life. Centuries-old and still unsure of his place in life. When his vacation time comes up, and he takes a trip he quickly finds himself in the middle of a grand plan with more than just lives on the line. Will he step up and save his new friend or is his whole e endeavor another mistake.
Valdis: The Grim Reaper Heroes. Valdis is a young-looking reaper, an avid fan of the Princess Bride and Vocaloids. She also has a not-so-secret crush on her best friend Pax. She takes her duties as a reaper very serious, also her hobbies of being a foodie. While being more optimistic than her counter part one must wonder if she is ready for that Destiny has in store.
Sofi Héderváry: A young woman with a mysterious power that she doesn't truly understand. Sofi can see what others hide, and the truth of the matter. She is curious about the supernatural in hopes of understanding her ability and her place in the world. When a group of magic users comes after her she must run, can a wayward reaper keep her safe.
